We are a growing independent organisation providing gas, oil and electrical inspections to a variety of clients including private householders and over 30 local authorities. The introduction of stringent European and other safety regulations over the last ten years has required us to become increasingly specialised to ensure that Landlords and Agents are up to date with current legislation. In fact just about anyone with electricity, gas or oil, needs the reliable, cost effective services of The Power Service.
All of our electrical and gas engineering personnel are IET 17thEdition Electricians, Gas Safe registered ACS trained and OFTEC approved.
Traffic? What Traffic?
To make sure they arrive on time and save you and your tenants the inconvenience of missed appointments, our inspectors and engineers use scooters to get to inspections. So you’ll never hear the old excuses about traffic and parking problems.

- Gas Boiler, Appliances and Installation Inspections – leading to the production of a gas safety certificate.
- Oil Fired Boiler Servicing – leading to the production of a certificate.
- Solid Fuel Fired Appliance Safety Inspection – leading to the production of a certificate.
- PAT-testing (we have been PAT testers since this became a legal requirement)
- Electrical Visual Inspection – providing a visual report as to the condition of many elements of an electrical installation
- Fixed Wiring Electrical Inspections – physical testing of circuitry to ensure compliance with BS standards, leading to the production of a NICEIC Periodic Inspection Report.
- Part P Inspections – We are Agents for over 30 local Authority Building Control departments inspecting electrical installations.
